The radiation survey and quality assurance tests are performed annually or biennial depending on the type of modality. Mr. Perry provides radiation survey and quality assurance tests based on the guidance of 25 TAC§289 and FDA 21 CFR 1000.55 recommendations.

In addition to radiation survey and quality assurance tests, Mr. Perry also reviews registrant records required by TDSHS and performs visual examination of protective devices at no additional charge.

RSO service is offered to a medical diagnostic registrant that is interested in having a Licensed Medical Physicist to assume the RSO responsibility for the facility’s certificate of registration.

Shielding Design is offered to medical diagnostic registrants for new construction, modification, or new equipment installation. A Suite Design checklist is provided to the registrant in order to assist in collection of the appropriate information. Mr. Perry uses the provided information to calculate given recommended shielding as appropriate and provides necessary recommendations if required.

TDSHS Compliance Program is offered to the registrant that is interested in organizing the facility’s documentation to comply with TDSHS regulation. The Compliance Program is extremely helpful for the registrant in avoiding any noncompliance issues, disciplinary enforcement action, and monetary fines from TDSHS.

Multi x-ray equipment record keeping is intended to assist the registrant tracking its current x-ray equipment location and survey due date.

Radiation Safety & Protection training in Bone Mineralization Densitometry is offered to registrant that is interested in providing their employees a radiation safety and protection training prior to re-application for a hardship exemption.
